Overview

When you join the Minnehaha Academy softball program, you join a family. Minnehaha has a long tradition of fielding hard-working, competitive, and successful softball teams. Along with improving softball skills and learning the finer points of the game, the main goals of the softball program each year are developing excellent team chemistry and forging long-lasting friendships. The team concept begins with middle school clinics for 6th-8th graders run by our current high school players and coaches. It is our sincere hope that to get younger players excited about the game of softball to continue the tradition.

Several of our graduates have gone on to have successful careers at Division III softball programs including Bethel University, Gustavus Adolphus College, Hamline University, Luther College, North Park University, Bates College, and St. Olaf College.

Middle School

Minnehaha Academy offers a middle school softball team when participation numbers allow it. When there are not enough middle school softball players to field a dedicated middle school team, the 7th and 8th graders are invited to play with the JV or Varsity team.
