Minnehaha Academy offers transportation for kindergarten through grade 12. We offer school bus or van community stops (in public parking lots) in the suburbs and attempt to get within one city block of residents in Minneapolis. Routes do change based on interest and are subject to change year to year. We have several transportation options that vary in cost.
Minneapolis School District #1
Minnehaha students who live in Minneapolis School District # 1 utilize the Minnehaha routes operated by the Monarch Bus Company. Monarch Bus Company will mail schedules directly to parents approximately one week before school starts.
St. Paul & Suburbs
Minnehaha students living in St. Paul or suburban areas utilize the Minnehaha routes operated by United Transportation Services and Northstar Bus Company. This van/bus service will make stops in public areas throughout the suburbs.
How to Register
Transportation registration must be completed for all students, regardless of whether or not they will be using busing this year. You may register for transportation once you are enrolled at Minnehaha Academy.
Please note that your selection is not binding; your transportation method can be changed at a later date. If unsure, select the method your child will most likely be using. Refunds will be issued in accordance with our Transportation Refund Policy for any cancellations made after August 1.
Registration Deadline
Busing requests must be received by May 1 to be considered in determining initial routes for the upcoming school year. Failure to sign up for transportation by May 1 may result in your student not being added to a route and transportation being unavailable.
If you would like to be added to the transportation route after the start of the school year please contact our Director of Transportation.
Note: Certain suburban school districts provide a partial transportation reimbursement for students attending private school. Minnehaha handles the processing of the reimbursement requests for most school districts. For more information, please contact our Student Accounts Office.
Transportation Refund Policy
Transportation charges are an annual fee and that fee covers only a portion of the amounts paid to our transportation contractors. In the case of cancellation of service, Transportation charges will be refunded as follows:
