Stop Motion (June 9-13)

Participants will explore the art of stop-motion filmmaking in this engaging and creative camp. Using Legos, claymation, and small toys from home, they will create captivating stories and bring their ideas to life. Sew Cute (June 9-12)

Does your child want to learn how to sew? This camp is for beginners who want to learn how to use a sewing machine, perform hand stitching, cut fabric, use safety pins, and baste materials. The projects are fun and easy to follow and designed to improve hand-eye coordination and dexterity. Join us for a fun and creative learning experience.

Fun for My Dolls and Me (June 9-13)

In this beloved camp, children will enjoy creating accessories for their favorite 18-inch dolls. You do not need to own a specific doll brand, and you may bring any doll to camp. Throughout this fun-filled week, campers will make a variety of new accessories for their dolls.

Wood carving is a skill that promotes relaxation, improves coordination, and fosters creativity. Participants will begin by carving soap and, as the camp progresses, will advance to whittling softwoods. Join us and explore the cherished art of wood carving in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Creative Cardboard Camp (June 16-20)

NEW Writer’s Workshop with Author, Sean Jensen (June 16-20)

This is a fun and engaging writing workshop where campers will dive into the exciting world of storytelling. Throughout the workshop, your child will explore the elements of writing and develop skills to make their stories shine. Each writer will choose a personal story, conduct interviews, and learn how to outline and edit their work until it is ready to share. Sean Jensen, is the author of seven children’s books and is an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota’s journalism school. He has 17 years of experience covering the NFL for major newspapers and websites and graduated from the renowned journalism school at Northwestern University.

NEW Cubelets Bots Builders Camp (June 23-27)

Your child will have a blast in this camp while boosting their computational thinking skills with cool modular robotic cubes called Cubelets; with every snap, these magnetic cubes make a one-of-a-kind robot. The real fun is figuring out the best combo to tackle different challenges. Campers will team up to create everything from energy-efficient lighthouses to racing bots, maze-solving machines, and even silly animals. If your child loves to tinker, this is the camp for them!

NEW Remote Controlled Robot Rescue Mission (June 23-27)

A major earthquake has struck the fictional town of Dalto, California. Can you help save the town? In this camp, your child will learn how to build and operate a remote-controlled Lego robot to tackle various challenges. Campers will modify their robots to complete tasks on a large game board, address real-world problems, and support the town’s recovery after the disaster. NEW Crazy About Clay (June 23-27)

Your child will be able to use their imagination to create different 3D objects during this camp! They will learn about sculpting, mixing colors, and designing decorations. We will make pictures with clay dots and sculpt fun shapes like alligators, fish, and silly animals. We will use air-dry clay and model magic for our projects and sculpting tools to add texture and details to your designs.

Geocaching (June 30-July 3)

This camp presents an exciting new adventure every day. We will embark on treasure hunts using handheld GPS units to discover hidden caches in parks near campus, as well as regional and state parks. Each day’s expedition will be filled with exploration and discovery, allowing participants to connect with nature while honing their navigation skills in the great outdoors. Transportation to and from the parks is included.

This camp is an ideal place for young builders to develop their design and construction skills, and discover how to take their creative ideas and transform them into real buildings. Campers will receive guidance throughout the building journey, starting with drawing up a simple floor plan and learning how to make their structures safe and sturdy for multiple challenges.

NEW Art Experiments (July 7-11)

In this camp, your child will explore how art and science work together. We will experiment with tinfoil, shaving cream, glow-in-the-dark paint, chalk, glue, salt, and watercolor to make colorful creations. Activities include making cupcakes on canvas with fluffy shaving cream frosting, creating artwork that glows, or foil embossing, and more.

Movie Making (July 7-18)

This is a two-week camp where children will become movie stars by acting in an original motion picture created just for them. Campers will learn how to film and edit their short movies, incorporating music, special effects, and backgrounds. They will use a green screen to produce both stop-motion and live-action films. Movies will be showcased on the final day of camp to an audience of family and friends.

This is a two-week camp where children will learn the fundamentals of woodworking, a
time-honored tradition. With a strong emphasis on safety and close supervision, campers will be shown how to use a variety of both power and hand tools. This camp is suitable for students with previous woodworking experience and those exploring woodworking for the first time.

Epic Minecraft Camp (July 14-18)

Your child can learn science, technology, and engineering skills by playing Minecraft. Snapology’s Epic Minecraft camp will introduce them to fun and challenging parts of the game. They will become a Minecraft character, solve game-related problems, and create mob petting zoos and mazes in the Minecraft world.

In this creative camp, children will learn essential beading techniques, wire working, and collage principles to create one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. NEW Prehistoric Robotics Camp (July 14-18)

In this camp, students will explore creatures that lived on Earth long before recorded history while building and programming robotic models of fascinating prehistoric animals. Utilizing Lego Spike Robotics kits, campers will work in pairs to complete various challenges. This experience teaches how to effectively use sensors, understand the functioning of different mechanical components in robots, and an appreciation of programming.

Curtain Up Theatre Camp: Teen Musical Intensive (June 16-28)

Does your child want to improve their performance skills and take part in an amazing production? If so, they should join our Teen Musical Intensive! In just two weeks, participants will learn singing, dancing, and acting while working on a complete musical. Auditions will take place on the first day, and the camp will conclude with two performances. Everyone will have the opportunity to shine in this exciting show! Performances are on Friday, June 27 at 7:00 pm, & Saturday, June 28, at 2:00 pm at the Upper School.

Curtain Up Theatre Camp: Technical Theatre Experience (June 23-28)

Theatre involves much more than just performing on stage. Your child can discover what happens behind the scenes and what it takes to put on a musical. Campers will have hands-on experience with running lights and sound, building sets, and more. They will work as part of the tech crew for our Teen Musical Production, helping to ensure the show runs smoothly. Performances are on Friday, June 27 at 7:00 pm, & Saturday, June 28, at 2:00 pm at the High School.

NEW Curtain Up Theatre Camp: Playwriting Bootcamp (July 7-11)

This creative intensive is an excellent opportunity for your child to develop or improve their basic writing and play writing skills. By the end of the week, campers will have written their very own show and will participate in a read-through. This experience will provide them with valuable tools and a strong foundation to continue writing and pursuing their dreams. It’s going to be a super fun week!
