Middle School talks about mental health

Middle School students have spent the week learning how to stay mentally healthy. Our Middle School counselors are virtually visiting them in health class to teach about mental health and provide mindfulness exercises. The students watch the presentation and then participate in a live discussion.

Lower School student creates music instrument

Lower School students experience hands-on music lessons, despite distance learning.

Music teacher Ms. Benson has developed creative lessons for students using simple materials students have in their home.

Classroom Sneak Peek

Watch brief video clips of our online learning lessons developed by our teachers especially for Minnehaha students.

A lot of parents are concerned that their schools, or in some cases whole school districts, really disappeared when the COVID crisis came along.  Kids aren't getting what they need in a lot of ways - for a lot of reasons.  I think MA had laid enough groundwork in past years that it basically worked from Day 1.  Our kids sometimes complain that their history teacher's video lectures are too energetic and in-depth . . . I love having that problem.  We get to debrief it over dinner every night.  We miss the school so much, but the learning and the relationships are still going strong.
