Summer Story & Play Morning

Looking for a fun way to spend a summer morning with your children?

Join us for a Summer Story & Play Morning—a free event designed for any preschool and elementary-aged children and their parents, you don't have to attend Minnehaha! Come enjoy a relaxed morning filled with stories, hands-on activities, playground fun, and opportunities to connect with other families in the community.

What to Expect

• Interactive story time led by one of our beloved Librarian, Mrs Besser
• Crafts, games, and hands-on activity stations
• Outdoor playground time including bubbles and popsicles (weather permitting)
• Coffee and light refreshments for parents
• A welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere

Parents who are interested are also invited to take an optional 10-minute guided tour of our Lower School while children continue enjoying supervised activities with our teachers. 

Whether you're simply looking for a fun summer outing or beginning to explore school options, we'd love to welcome your family.

Who: Families with preschool through elementary-aged children

Cost: Free

Registration: Registration is requested so we can prepare enough activities and refreshments for everyone.

Families who attend will receive a special $50 application fee discount for students applying for the upcoming school year—a great opportunity if you're considering Minnehaha Academy this fall.

Start your morning with Rev. Dr. Donna Harris, President of Minnehaha Academy, and enjoy a relaxed hour of coffee, conversation, and connection. This is your opportunity to hear deeper dives into specific, behind-the-scenes topics, mingle with other families, and get direct face time with  Dr. Harris and other school leaders. 

This monthly gathering is a great way for current families to stay in the loop and for prospective families to experience the Minnehaha community up close. Come for the coffee, stay for the conversation!
