Social-Emotional Learning
Success in high school is not just related to academics. We intentionally help students develop the social and emotional skills they need to build healthy relationships, navigate challenges, make wise decisions, and grow into confident, resilient young adults.
Our counseling team partners with teachers to foster student well-being through a proactive, school-wide approach rooted in the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) framework. Counselors support students' social and emotional development while collaborating with families, faculty, and community resources when additional support is needed.
Prepared for Life
Students participate in developmentally appropriate lessons and experiences throughout high school that strengthen their well-being and prepare them for life beyond graduation. These include:
- CharacterStrong lessons during Advisory
- Mental Health Month activities and assemblies
- Substance Abuse Prevention activities and assembly
- Healthy Relationship education
- Social-emotional lessons for students in every grade
- Therapy dogs and stress reducing activities during finals week
