Redhawk Journalists Win Big at State and National Levels

Minnehaha Academy student journalists are making headlines of their own—earning top honors in some of the most prestigious contests in scholastic journalism.

From national writing and photography recognition to first-place awards at the Guthrie Theater and Minnesota Wild journalism days, our students continue to demonstrate excellence in reporting, storytelling, and visual media.

This year’s award highlights include:

  • National honors from Quill & Scroll’s Writing, Visual, and Multimedia Contest

  • A 2nd Place Photographer of the Year award in the Private School Journalism Association Contest

  • Both 1rst and 2nd place reviews and sports writing from Journalism Day at the Guthrie and Minnesota Wild

  • Eleven Redhawks named to the NSPA Leadership Award list
