Middle School Latin Students Earn National Recognition on the National Latin Exam
Amy Barnard

More than 100,000 students from all 50 states and 26 countries participated in the 2026 National Latin Exam—and 13 of Minnehaha Academy’s Middle School Latin scholars were among those recognized for their outstanding achievement.

Twenty-two students from MA’s Latin IA and Latin IB classes sat for this year’s exam, which assesses students’ understanding of Latin grammar, vocabulary, culture, mythology, history, and reading comprehension. This year, more than half of MA’s Middle School participants earned awards—an accomplishment worth celebrating.

Latin IA Honors

In Latin IA, 15 students took the exam, and 11 earned awards.
