Cultivating Potential: Upper School Writing Club

Cultivating Potential: Upper School Writing Club
Rebekah Peterson

Twice a month after school, Upper School English teachers Ms. Felton and Ms. Balster gather a group of students for writing prompts and critique groups.

The writing club is designed to be a space where students can freely share and develop their writing skills. For some students, writing is a hobby they enjoy, others hope to hone their storytelling skills for future careers, and others want grow their ability to express ideas through writing.

"I have a lot of things to say, but it takes work to put it in a well-developed piece of work," commented club attendee Linnea. "I want to get better at my writing."

Read why other writing club members attend:

I find joy in writing. It helps me process what I am feeling. Jaeda
I wanted to start writing my own stories and this club has helped me get started with that.
