On Stage Together Again: Nicholas Freeman and Kevin Dustrude '15

Minnehaha Academy’s theatre director Nicholas Freeman, and Kevin Dustrude ('15) recently participated in the “24 Hour Plays” event put on by Hennepin Theatre Trust at Pantages Theatre.

This event features 24 actors, including six playwrights and six directors, who create six 10-minute plays. Actors have less than 10 hours to rehearse, memorize and be ready to perform for a live audience. Kevin, a junior at UMD, was active in Minnehaha’s theatre program and was selected as UMD’s student participant.

“It was exciting to have Kevin part of this event that supports the Hennepin Theatre Trust Spotlight Program, as well as UMD theatre,” said Freeman, who is an alum of UMD.  It was the second year he has participated in this evening and said "It was simply a fun night out."
