The Class Reunion '55 photo

What  a  great  time of  fellowship we  had!  All 23  of us  of  the  class  of 1955  looked  at  each other's name tags  to  be  sure we  knew  who  we  were  talking  to!  Time  has  a  way  of  changing  what  we saw,  but not  a  way  of  changing  our memories of Minnehaha  Academy  days!  We  reminisced, laughed, ate  a  wonderful  Scandinavian lunch, and ended up singing some of the hymns and songs of yesterday. The campus we knew  is  gone,  but  a  glorious  new  one  stands  in  its place, being used  as it  was with us--telling  students  about  Jesus  and how  to  live  for  Him  in  this  generation. It  was  hard  to  say  goodbye....hoping  to  see everyone another time!

Our reunion was two evenings of reconnecting, reminiscing and memories. There were several that came from a distance and some that had not been back for a reunion for many years. Those that had not seen the new school had a chance to tour. Sixty years is a long time, but it was evident that acquaintances and friendships endure time and distance.

We had a wonderful get together starting out with a Scandinavian lunch during Minnehaha’s Homecoming celebration 2025. The weather was beautiful, sunny and mild making it the perfect afternoon to reconnect. It was a joy to spend time visiting and catching up on everyone's lives. Those who attended included: Bill Davis, Dave Seaberg, Jim Davidson and his wife Sue., Sandy Mathisen and her husband Dale, Dave Lofgren, Pam Juul and her husband Skip, John Ahlquist, Jim Elving, Dave Carroll, Ruth Anne Perkins, and Joanie Wiken.

We were also blessed to have Dr. Donna Harris stop in to give us updates Minnehaha. It was wonderful to hear how the school continues to grow and how the Lord Jesus shines through the students in so many ways. It truly added something special to our time together. We’re looking forward to the next opportunity to gather and celebrate our Class of 1966 at the 60th reunion. We hope to have many classmates at the special milestone.

At the end of May, the class of 1975 held their 50th reunion weekend, both at Minnehaha Academy and also at Lake Monster Brewery. We had a blast reconnecting with classmates! We rekindled old friendships, laughed at old memories, shared stories and caught up on life journeys. We had a tour of the school, as many classmates had not seen the beautiful new school building. And, we had the privilege of walking with the 2025 MA graduates at their graduation ceremony. It truly was a wonderful weekend!

What an amazing night! The Class of 1985 40th Reunion was a truly historic event, drawing close to 90 of us together from all corners of the country. From the moment we walked through the doors, it felt like we were stepping back in time. The energy in the room was electric as we swapped stories about our lives, families, and careers. It was heartwarming to see old friendships rekindled and new ones formed. The success of the night is a testament to the bond we share, and we’re already looking forward to our next get-together.

The Class of 2015 gathered at Minnehaha Academy and BlackStack Brewing to celebrate 10 years since graduation! Classmates traveled from near and far to reconnect, share memories, tour the new portions of the campus reconstructed after the explosion, and catch up on life’s adventures over the past decade. We marveled at many photos of our classmates on the new athletics mural wall in the gym and old posters from musicals from our time. December 20, 6-8 pm at Minneapolis Cider Company

Organized by Abbi Slininger

“Twenty-five classmates from the class of 2020 gathered at Minneapolis Cider Co. prior to the holidays for our 5-year high school reunion. We had an evening full of reconnecting, reminiscing, and celebrating how far everyone has come. It was a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, share stories from the past few years, and enjoy a relaxed setting that made conversation easy and fun. The night was a reminder of how meaningful it can be to pause and reconnect, even as life takes us in different directions ! I am thankful to have been able to organize this for our class and look forward to the next time we can reconnect.”
