Class Reunion Photos and Updates: Classes Ending in 8 and 3

A great weekend of celebration and connection took place last fall over homecoming and reunion weekend as the classes ending in 3 and 8 celebrated. Following are the photos and updates from those events.

 

1953

 

The Class of 1953 had a great group for our reunion over Homecoming weekend. People came from CA, WI and the Twin Cities. The group enjoyed the room they met in and the food was wonderful. They had a meaningful time of prayer and singing. They all loved to hear from Dr. Harris.

The Class of ‘60, spouses, and friends gathered in October 2023 at Original Pancake House in Edina to reminisce and catch up. They had a great time seeing everyone and enjoying lunch together.

1966

On the beautiful fall day of September 30th, 2023 the Class of 1966 got together at Minnehaha Academy in conjunction with the Homecoming festivities. They had a Scandinavian lunch at the new campus. Dr. Donna Harris spoke to the group about Minnehaha’s activities and the accomplishments of the students. The day was relaxing and the group enjoyed hearing about changes in one another's lives since they last met for their 70th Birthday party.

The class has decided to continue to have small gatherings until they celebrate 60 years in 2026. It’s not far away so they will gather ideas for the celebration. The Class of 1973 had a great three-day reunion in September! They knew from past reunions that one evening together just wouldn't be enough. Classmates flew in from all over the country. The class kicked off the weekend with an evening at Shamrock's in St. Paul. They spent Saturday at the MA campus taking part in homecoming events, going on a tour of the new school, and having dinner and a program in the Campus Room. A highlight was joining the students dancing (their first!) to Dancing Queen! It was such a fun moment for the group as well as a great opportunity for the current MA students to see that, fifty years later, the group was still together and having fun. They rounded off the weekend with a picnic at Christie Brandt's home. She finally had to tell them it was time to go home as they were having such a good time! The class has two events in the planning stages: a trip to Las Vegas to celebrate our 70th birthdays and, in a few years, a 55th reunion. Quarterly lunches are also on the calendars for as many as are able to attend.

1993

The Class of ‘93 celebrated 30 years since graduation over the 2023 Homecoming Weekend. Thirty-five classmates gathered at the Park Tavern in St. Louis Park and caught up and to share updates on family, careers, faith, and a multitude of other diverse topics. 

The class would like to honor and lift up their dear colleague Scott Hansen and his family, as Scott passed away shortly after attending the reunion. All of them reconnected with Scott that night and will miss his gentle and selfless spirit.

1998

On the evening of Friday, September 29, the class of 1998 gathered at the recently opened Wrestaurant at the Palace for their 25th reunion. It was an exciting night as old friends reconnected, sharing stories of the past and catching up on each other's lives. Those unable to attend were missed, as the night celebrated cherished memories and the friendships formed during high school.
