1961 Alums Visit New STEM Lab

1961 Alums Visit New STEM Lab
Julie Harnack

On Wednesday, a group from the class of 1961 came to Minnehaha Academy's Upper School for a tour of the new Page Family STEM Lab.

The alums visited with current students in the Applied Research and Engineering program (the students who send an experiment to the International Space Station) and they heard a presentation from science teacher Sam Meyers.

Mr. Meyers answered questions and gave a presentation on the design of the new STEM Lab. He discussed how the lab was created to be an open and flexible space for a variety of STEM classes and to foster collaboration among students. The lab features a variety of state-of-the-art equipment used by professional scientists, which gives our students the opportunity to gain real-world experience right at Minnehaha.
