Get Connected – Volunteer

MAPT provides an easy way for parents to get involved at Minnehaha Academy in a meaningful way. From providing classroom support to participating in the prayer chain to volunteering at Service Night, there are a variety of ways to positively impact the children and teachers at Minnehaha Academy. Below you will find a list of volunteer opportunities and a chance to sign up with a program or event that works for you.

Distinctively Christian

Prayer Chain

This group receives prayer requests from the MA community by email. We are a virtual prayer chain so prayers are lifted up individually, not together in person.

Praise Fest

Enjoy a worship experience designed to build cultural and ethnic bridges within the kingdom of God.  With music provided by various churches, we will celebrate our unity in the Lord.

Family Service Event

We unite in faithful community to use our talents to serve others in partnership with Ms. Cullen and her art students for Empty Bowls. Lower & Middle School families can work on a variety of service projects benefiting international and local organizations and to raise awareness and fight hunger with an Empty Bowls soup supper.

Exceptional Academics

Art Helper

Assist the Lower School Art Department with projects throughout the year. Volunteer(s) are needed to assist in maintaining ‘Artsonia,’ an online art gallery for students to keep their masterpieces in a digital portfolio (where parents and relatives can view the artwork online). You don’t need to be ‘artistic’ to help. PC and organizational skills a plus. Work can be done remotely.

For more information, contact: Sheryl Cullen – cullensheryl@minnehahaacademy.net

Book Club

Join us as we dive into two books and have an in-depth conversation on how the work impacts our lives.

Watch Parent Square for details.

Box Tops for Education

This committee helps creatively collect, assemble and turn in box tops. Volunteers are needed to coordinate this effort.

For more information, contact Jerrisha Goines

Library Helper

The Lower & Middle School library is always looking for people to help shelve books. The librarians are very flexible and will take your help when they can get it! You can volunteer weekly, daily, or hourly. It is a perfect way to help the school in just a half hour if you have time before or after a meeting, or while you are waiting for your child to finish an after school activity. No experience necessary.
