We know many parents struggle to find before and after school care for their Middle School students, and often parents must shorten their workday to accommodate school schedules.
The policy is that all students not in a supervised school activity must leave campus by 3:15 p.m. each day, which may be difficult for some parents. Therefore, we are delighted to provide an after school program for all Middle School students.
Yellow Lounge – Afternoon Program
When: 3:10-6:00 p.m., each school day
Where: Students will go from their classroom to the Yellow Lounge (Room #010). To pick up your child at the end of the day, call the Yellow Lounge and your child can meet you at the front of the building.
Grades: Sixth – eighth grade
What: Students from sixth to eighth grade are provided with safe, supervised activities after school – including snacks, games and homework. Students find this to be a great way to spend time with friends and develop community, while having fun and getting homework help, if needed. See the schedule below for details.
All students who remain at school after 3:15 p.m. must be enrolled in Yellow Lounge, i.e. students are not allowed to simply “hang out” in the school building outside of these times.
