Private elementary school offers quality Christian education
Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis.
Minnehaha Academy’s Lower School provides a quality Christian elementary school education in a safe, child-centered environment. Learning, sharing, working, creating, and having fun are the cornerstones of this vibrant program for preschool and kindergarten up through grade five.
The Lower School curriculum at our Minneapolis campus emphasizes academic achievement relative to each child’s ability. Each student is loved, taught, and mentored by gifted Christian teachers and staff.
In preschool (age 3), children are encouraged to reach developmental milestones at their own pace in their own way. At age four, academic foundations are built through play. Small classes allow for teachers to guide children in ways that best develop their individual skills and abilities.
In Minnehaha’s full-day kindergarten and first grade, art, music, reading, math, geography, and science come together in lessons designed to appeal to young children.
In grades two through five, children develop independence and begin to take responsibility for their work, actions, and accomplishments. Although teachers make new demands on their young students, fun is still an essential ingredient in learning.
