April 5, 2012 – Thanks-a-Latte, an annual celebration in appreciation of School Libraries, was held Thursday, April 12 at the North Campus Library.
Golden Femur
April 5, 2012 – Anatomy and Physiology students Nick Gobran, Xavier Scott, Sam Erickson and Wilson Kozel won the "Golden Femur Award" in the College in the Schools kiosk competition at the University of Minnesota on Wednesday.
Middle School Students 8th at MathCounts State Meet
April 5, 2012 – The MA Middle School Math Team placed 8th among 45 schools at the MathCounts State Meet last Saturday.
Girls' Basketball Goes to State Tournament
March 12, 2012 – Minnehaha's girls' basketball team will make its fifth trip to the Class 2A state tournament in five years.
Arlene Anderson, 1919-2012
March 8, 2012 – Arlene E. Anderson, age 92, former Minnehaha teacher, Dean of Students, Dean of Instruction, and Principal of Middle School, passed away on March 4, 2012.
MA Hockey Player Recognized
March 8, 2012 – Congratulations to Michael Fabie '12, who was named to the Pioneer Press All-State Honorable Mention team.
Heritage and Hope Dinner
March 1, 2012 – Sunday, February 26, nearly 400 people gathered at the Doubletree in Bloomington to hear from students, parents and alumni about their transformational experiences at Minnehaha, and their thankfulness for the scholarship that made it possible.
Girls' Hockey Scores Upset Sectional Win
February 14, 2012 – The Minnehaha Saints Girls' Hockey team won their first-round sectional game against St. Paul United (ranked 12 in the state and 2 in the section), 3-2 in double overtime Feb. 9. The next playoff game is Wednesday, February 15 at St. Thomas Arena. Come out and cheer on the the Minnehaha Saints.

February 13, 2012 – The annual Madrigal Dinner held over the weekend, presented by the Minnehaha Choral Department, was a spectacular event.

December 22, 2011 – Sarah Anderson, '04, while working on her PhD in Physics at the University of Michigan, was published December 20, 2011, in the Physical Review, a prestigious journal from the American Physical Society.

Ken Anderson Retires
December 6, 2011 – After 33 years of faithful service as Minnehaha’s athletic director, Ken Anderson retired this month.
Thanksgiving Coat Drive
December 2, 2011 – For thirteen years Minnehaha Academy Upper School students, under the leadership of Ms. Elizabeth Van Pilsum, have collected warm coats and clothing to be donated each Thanksgiving to the American Indian Center.
International Project Recognized with Award
November 30, 2011 – On Saturday, November 19, Minnehaha Academy was awarded the Peace Group Award by Peace House Africa. Last June a group of eight students and two teachers spent two weeks in Tanzania at Peace House School, where the students were paired with host students and shared in the host students' daily lives for several days. Red, White, and Black Friday
November 28, 2011 – On November 25, students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff wore their spirit wear to show the Twin Cities that we're proud to be from Minnehaha Academy.
Kindergarten Thanksgiving
November 18, 2011 – The Kindergarten classes culminated their study of the first Thanksgiving by enjoying a feast of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, buns, cranberry sauce, stuffing and pumpkin pie.
Veterans' Day
November 18, 2011 – Minnehaha Academy Lower School students invited veterans and active duty personnel to campus so we could honor them through a Veteran's Day Program.
State Swim Meet
November 17, 2011 – Kelly Brush '12 will be representing Minnehaha Academy and Metro United team as a diver at the State Swim and Dive meet this Thursday and Saturday.
Dear Finder
November 14, 2011 – This past weekend, Minnehaha Academy Players performed Dear Finder written by Tom Isbell. This play is a docudrama based on the harsh realities of the Holocaust.

November 11, 2011 – Van Donkersgoed '12, signed a Division 1 Scholarship to swim at Northwestern University.
Soccer Honors
November 11, 2011 – MA soccer players Maggie Moran and Ben Bakke both received All State Honorable Mention honors for the recently concluded season.

November 9, 2011 – On November 9, senior Maggie Moran plays in the Senior All State Classic, a soccer game that matches the All State Class A players against the All State Class AA players.
Boys' CC Third in State
November 6, 2011 – On Saturday, the Boys' CC Team finished third at the State Meet. Three girls competed as individuals.

November 1, 2011 – French students Tricked and Treated à la française the day after Halloween.
Community Service
October 31, 2011 – On Tuesday, October 25 the students organized our entire Upper School (Grades 9-12) to go out into the neighborhood surrounding the school and rake/bag leaves.
Justin Volling '08 wins MIAC individual conference title
October 18, 2011 – At the 2011 MIAC Men's Golf Championships at Bunker Hill on October 3, Justin Volling '08 became the first player in the history of St. Olaf Men's Varsity Golf to win a MIAC individual conference title. MA Grad Kicks for Stanford
October 10, 2011 – Spencer Summers '11, made the Stanford University football team as a kicker.
French Club
October 10, 2011 – More than 50 students participated in the first French Club meeting of the year where they ate crêpes and learned a crazy French rugby dance called Cocorico. See pictures and video.

Golf Classic
October 5, 2011 – The 31st Annual Minnehaha Academy Golf Classic was a great success. Held on October 3 at Town & Country Club, alumni, fans, friends and family golfed to support the school's athletic program.
President's Ambassador Council
October 3, 2011 – Parents who are part of the President's Ambassador Council attended a reception hosted by Donna Harris, President, on Monday, Sept. 26 to celebrate the PAC accomplishments and help kick-off the 2011-12 School Year initiatives.

October 1, 2011 – Last weekend, Queen Gabbi and King Chris reigned over homecoming festivities that included alumni reunions, coronation program, pep fests, volleyball, football, soccer, Redhawk run and dance.

Minnehaha Academy mourns the loss of Navy SEAL John Faas, '98
August 16, 2011 – John Faas was among 30 U.S. troops, including 22 SEALs, who lost their lives when the CH-47 Chinook helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan on Saturday, August 6, 2011. John was the starting quarterback, an excellent student and valedictorian of his class. The list of positive Christlike attributes that John exemplified is long. Please continue to lift up in prayer John's parents, Gretchen and Bob Faas.
