French Day at the Minnesota Zoo
February 11, 2010
Minnehaha French students had the chance to put their French to work in service to others on February 9. More than 2000 students of French from around the state attended French Day, sponsored by the Minnesota Zoo. French III students performed presentations in French about animals/plants that they were assigned. Students from other high schools as well as elementary schools listened to and interacted with the presentations.
French IV and French V students from Minnehaha served as small group chaperones for 1st graders from Normandale French Immersion School. They were only allowed to speak French with the 6 year olds.
It was a practical and fun learning experience.
