Graduation 2011

June 7, 2011 – Minnehaha Academy would like to congratulate the Class of 2011. Each and every student is a blessing and we pray that they will use their God given talents to make a positive impact in the world.


Kindergarten Graduation

June 7, 2011 – On Thursday, June 2 Minnehaha Academy celebrated Kindergarten graduation. Teachers, parents, grandparents and friends gathered to see each of the students march and receive a "diploma."


Bloomington Campus Picnic

June 1, 2011 – On May 25, former faculty and staff, past families and the current MA community gathered to celebrate 16 great years at Bloomington Campus.


MA Sophomore Third in National Chinese Competition

May 31, 2011 – Sophomore Peter Willemin competed in the 6th Chinese Bridge US High School Chinese Speech Contest on May 21th in Boston, MA.


Environmental Education Day

May 24, 2011 – Sophomore biology students hosted Lower School students on the front lawn of North Campus for the annual Environmental Education Days.


Kindergarteners Aid Japan

May 24, 2011 – Kindergarten set up a lemonade stand this week to raise money for children affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.


Vietnam Vet Visits History Classes

May 20, 2011 – Mike Fors came to Ms. Van Pilsum's U.S. History classes to talk about his experiences in the Vietnam War.

May 20, 2011 – Upper School Latin students received recognition for their outstanding performances in the National Latin Exam.

Boys Basketball Team Advances to State Tournament

March 21, 2011 – With a 62-58 win over Concordia Academy on March 18, the Minnehaha Academy Boys Basketball Team qualified for State competition for the second year in a row.


Girls Basketball Team Runners-Up in State Tournament Competition

March 21, 2011 – The Minnehaha Academy Girls Basketball Team's 2nd place finish in the State Tournament capped off a very successful season for the team and their coaches.


Boys' Nordic Take Third in State

March 5, 2011 – The Minnehaha Boys' Nordic Ski team took third at the State Nordic Meet February 17 at Giants Ridge in Biwabik.

International Gold Medal

February 11, 2011 – MA junior, Katie Schwanke, is a synchronized figure skater on Team Braemar. Team Braemar captured the gold medal in the Junior division at the 2011 French Cup for synchronized skating, an International Skating Union-sanctioned event.


French Day at the Zoo

February 11, 2011 – Minnehaha French students had the chance to put their French to work in service to others on February 8 at the Minnesota Zoo.

February 4, 2011 – Congratulations to seniors Ava Heinrich and Preston Howell who participated in the 2011 University of Minnesota High School Honor Band.

Care Packages for the Troops

September 17, 2010 – On a hot summer day in August, the boys' hockey team gathered, assembled and shipped 50 boxes of snacks, books, toiletries, and sporting goods to 65 men and adopted “team members” of Bravo Company.
