Lower School Spanish Long-term Substitute Teaching Position

Minnehaha Academy has an opening for a full-time Spanish teacher in the Lower School, from approximately mid-October 2014 through approximately mid-January 2015.

Qualifications include:

  • Previous teaching experience; Spanish teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to engage learners and deliver rigorous curriculum across PreK through 5th Grade students
  • Demonstrated ability to assess student progress and differentiate instruction accordingly
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, colleagues, and families
  • Minnesota K-12 Spanish teaching license or commensurate license from another state
  • Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life

Pre-K-K Teacher – Extended Day Program: Our program is open Monday through Friday during the school year. The hours for this position are 2:30pm to 6:00pm. During school breaks, there are also opportunities to work 4 to 6 hour shifts.

Qualifications include:

  • Elementary Education or Early Childhood license required
  • Passion for working and playing with children
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Strong people skills to interact with the children, parents, and staff
  • Ability to plan and implement age appropriate activities
  • Support and implement the mission of the school and Extended Day Program
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred

Custodian and Light Maintenance (Full-time with benefits)

Qualifications for this full-time custodial/maintenance position include:

  • Dependability (Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm)
  • Willingness to work some overtime as needed
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Past cleaning experience required
  • Maintenance experience helpful with a willingness to learn and obtain boiler’s licensing

Minnehaha Academy has an immediate opening for a Donor Database Manager within our Institutional Advancement Office.

Summary:
This position is responsible for stewarding and administering all aspects of appropriate and accurate donor records as well as management and oversight of Raiser’s Edge to ensure data integrity, donor receipting and acknowledgement, queries, reporting and analysis. This individual communicates and represents these efforts to the advancement and business offices, other school areas, auditors and donors. This position will also provide general support such as assisting with department communications.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience with Raiser’s Edge database management including Net Community is required. In addition, experience in the oversight and management of Raiser’s Edge users is preferred
  • Experience designing and implementing complex queries and reports for data analysis
  • Competency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven ability to effectively manage a comprehensive donor record program
  • Understanding of philanthropic giving guidelines and non-profit fund accounting procedures
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with ability to carefully proof and edit materials
  • Ability to relate well and communicate effectively with constituencies, through written, telephonic and personal communication vehicles
  • Ability to work independently and actively participate within a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing deadlines, priorities and new tasks as assigned
