Minnehaha Academy is seeking a full-time Admission Director to lead the Admission team at our school.

Admission Director

Qualifications include:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with supervisory experience
  • Excellent people skills and effective team building
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including public speaking
  • Previous experience in admission or recruiting in a school environment
  • Past marketing or public relations experience preferred
  • Bachelor degree in related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Ability to relate the Christian faith with learning and life and to passionately promote the school mission

Minnehaha Academy’s Extended Day Fun-N-Friends Program has an immediate opening for a 1st-2nd Grade Teacher

Teacher – Extended Day Program: Our program is open Monday through Friday during the school year. The hours are 2:30 - 6 p.m. During school breaks there are also opportunities to work 4-6 hour shifts.

Qualifications include:

  • Passion for working and playing with children
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Strong people skills to interact with the children, parents, and staff
  • Ability to plan and implement age appropriate activities
  • Implementing daily the missions of the school and Extended Day Program
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
  • Elementary Education or Early Childhood license or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 1040 hours experience in education preferred

The Extended Day Program at Minnehaha Academy is seeking a high-school student who is available to act as a Teacher Aide for our Extended Day Program for the 2010-11 school year:

Teacher Aide: (3 pm-6 pm) Monday – Friday during the school year with the option of 6 – 8 hours days available during school breaks.

Minnehaha Academy’s Summer Program has a variety of part-time openings during the summer months of June - August, 2012:

Summer Programs – Specialty Teachers needed: Each session is typically two weeks long, half or full days; each specialty camp runs one or two times over the summer. Current teacher openings in several specialty areas are listed below. More detailed descriptions of each camp/class can be found on the MA website (http://minnehahaacademy.net/summer/index.php).

  • Adventures in Art – Grades K-2, age appropriate introduction to art, June 25-July 6 (mornings)
  • Tennis – Grades 3-5, age appropriate tennis instruction, June18-22 (mornings)
  • Dancing Around The World - Grades 1-3, age appropriate introduction to a variety of dances, June 25-July 6 (afternoons)
  • Treasured Books - Grades K-2, age appropriate introduction to a variety of literature, July 16-20 (mornings)
  • International Camp - Grades 2-5, age appropriate introduction to various cultures, August 13-17 (afternoons)
  • Tea Party - Grades K-2, age appropriate introduction to tea party etiquette, June 11-15 (mornings)

Qualifications include:

  • Passion for working and playing with children
  • Strong people skills to interact with the children, parents and staff
  • Minimum of two years experience working with children in a church, school or camp setting preferred
  • Ability to plan/implement age appropriate activities
  • Ability to support and implement the mission of the school; comfortable leading or participating in prayer and devotions
  • CPR/First Aid Certification a plus
