Minnehaha Academy is seeking a College & Guidance Counselor beginning the 2014-2015 school year.

Qualifications include:

  • Previous experience in college counseling and working with high school students in identifying appropriate college opportunities
  • Strong interest in being a part of a counseling office that exhibits a passion and drive for meeting the needs of individual students
  • Self-starter with existing connections and experience in college admissions and possessing the networking/public relation skills required to build/promote/maintain the positive reputation of Minnehaha Academy in the collegiate realm.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, colleges and universities, and other external organizations
  • Experience with technology integration in a high school counseling office
  • Strong team player, with an ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Motivation to relate the Christian faith to learning and life

Minnehaha Academy has an opening for a Preschool Teacher beginning in August 2014. The position is for 3 days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on a 60% contract.

Qualifications include:

  • Previous successful teaching experience with preschool students; experience in a nationally accredited preschool preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to engage preschool students and deliver rigorous curriculum using early childhood-specific pedagogy and best practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, colleagues, and families
  • Ability to maintain a safe, structured, and engaging environment for preschool students
  • Understanding of and ability to comply with Minnesota Preschool licensure requirements
  • Minnesota teaching license or commensurate license from another state; Early Childhood license preferred
  • Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life

Morning Teacher Extended Day: Our program is open Monday through Friday during the school year. The hours for this position are 7:00am to 8:20am. During school breaks, there are also opportunities to work 4 to 6 hour shifts. Teacher will independently monitor and engage with the children promoting a safe and healthy environment.

The Extended Day Program at Minnehaha Academy has the following immediate opening.:

High School-aged Teacher Aide: (3:15 - 6 p.m.) Monday-Friday during the school year with the option of 6-8 hour days available during school breaks.
