6th Grade Science & Math Short-Term Substitute Teacher

Minnehaha Academy has an opening for a Sixth Grade Science and Math teacher, from November 24, 2014 through December 19, 2014. This position is full-time.

Qualifications include:

  • Previous successful teaching experience; Middle School Science & Math teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Depth of content knowledge in science and math; Science major preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to engage learners and deliver rigorous curriculum
  • Demonstrated ability to assess student progress, analyze student data, and differentiate instruction accordingly
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, colleagues, and families
  • Minnesota licensure in Middle School Science and/or Math or commensurate license from another state
  • Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life and demonstrate our mission

Pre-K-K Teacher Ė Extended Day Program: Our program is open Monday through Friday during the school year. The hours for this position are 2:30pm to 6:00pm. During school breaks, there are also opportunities to work 4 to 6 hour shifts.

Qualifications include:

  • Elementary Education or Early Childhood license required

Minnehaha Academy has an immediate opening for a Donor Database Manager within our Institutional Advancement Office.

This position is responsible for stewarding and administering all aspects of appropriate and accurate donor records as well as management and oversight of Raiserís Edge to ensure data integrity, donor receipting and acknowledgement, queries, reporting and analysis. This individual communicates and represents these efforts to the advancement and business offices, other school areas, auditors and donors. This position will also provide general support such as assisting with department communications.


  • 2+ years experience with Raiserís Edge database management including Net Community is required. In addition, experience in the oversight and management of Raiserís Edge users is preferred
  • Experience designing and implementing complex queries and reports for data analysis
  • Competency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven ability to effectively manage a comprehensive donor record program
  • Understanding of philanthropic giving guidelines and non-profit fund accounting procedures
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with ability to carefully proof and edit materials
  • Ability to relate well and communicate effectively with constituencies, through written, telephonic and personal communication vehicles
  • Ability to work independently and actively participate within a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing deadlines, priorities and new tasks as assigned
