6th Grade Science & Math Short-Term Substitute Teacher

Minnehaha Academy has an opening for a Sixth Grade Science and Math teacher, from November 24, 2014 through December 19, 2014. This position is full-time.

Qualifications include:

  • Previous successful teaching experience; Middle School Science & Math teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Depth of content knowledge in science and math; Science major preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to engage learners and deliver rigorous curriculum
  • Demonstrated ability to assess student progress, analyze student data, and differentiate instruction accordingly
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, colleagues, and families
  • Minnesota licensure in Middle School Science and/or Math or commensurate license from another state
  • Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life and demonstrate our mission

Pre-K-K Teacher Ė Extended Day Program: Our program is open Monday through Friday during the school year. The hours for this position are 2:30pm to 6:00pm. During school breaks, there are also opportunities to work 4 to 6 hour shifts.

Qualifications include:

  • Elementary Education or Early Childhood license required
  • Passion for working and playing with children
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Strong people skills to interact with the children, parents, and staff
  • Ability to plan and implement age appropriate activities

Minnehaha Academy has an immediate opening for an
Institutional Advancement Office Coordinator
(normal business hours 7:30 AM Ė 4PM with some flexibility required)

Summary:
The Institutional Advancement Office Coordinator supports the activities of the Advancement office (Development, Admissions, Marketing) by representing Minnehaha Academy through relationships with and assistance to team members, prospective families, donors, alumni, parents and volunteers. The ideal candidate will be able to juggle multiple responsibilities and tasks, serving both internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, 12 month position, benefit eligible.

Key Competencies for the job include:

  • Support and commitment of Minnehaha Academyís mission with all constituent groups
  • Discretion and confidentiality concerning records, issues, donors and personnel
  • Organizational skills including ability to multitask, attention to detail and accuracy, timely follow through
  • Focus on goal-oriented outcomes
  • Promoting positive relationships within the department and throughout the school

Critical duties include:

  • Coordinate Advancement Office functions including calendar, supplies, appointments, mail and financial/applicant records as well as general administrative support
  • Compose, edit and publish correspondence for team members
  • Coordinate mailings and volunteers as requested
  • Create applicant files and process acceptance packets
  • Assist with special events: planning and execution
  • Manage donor information and records using Blackbaudís Raiserís Edge; track admissions information and create reports using Senior Systems
  • Update webpages and provide content for social media outlets, manage Spark and Constant Contact (mass email) communications and electronic surveys

Position requirements:

Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong competencies in Microsoft Office and general computer skills, database management (experience in Senior Systems and Raiserís Edge preferred), 5-7 years administrative assistant or related experience with Bachelorís Degree preferred.
