Extended Day and Summer Programs

School Nurse – Substitute

Minnehaha Academy is seeking to create a short list of licensed nurses who would be available substitute for one day or a couple days at a time. The need is only during the school year and school days and the hours would be 8:15 – 3:30.

Qualifications for the position include:

  • Registered Nurse (RN); Licensed School Nurse (LSN) preferred
  • Experience working with Lower and Middle school students preferred
  • Able to build rapport and maintain confidentiality with students, parents, and faculty
  • Previous experience working in a school preferred
  • Ability to support Minnehaha Academy’s mission

Director of Individual Giving:

Minnehaha Academy Office of Advancement is seeking a Director of Individual Giving. This is a 12-month, full time position.

Description:
The Director of Individual Giving will be responsible for managing a portfolio of donors who make annual gifts to support the mission of Minnehaha Academy.  The Director will be expected to minister to the needs of the donors and identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward these very important ministry partners for Minnehaha Academy.  The Director will also coordinate the Annual Fund and be responsible for communicating about the Fund through the Minnehaha Magazine, social gatherings, school events and personal meetings. In addition, the Director will partner with the Director of Institutional Giving and Exec Dir of Institutional Advancement to manage a portfolio of campaign prospects.

 Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with three to five years successful experience in Individual gift fundraising or comparable sales experience
  • Ability to understand the needs and interests of donors in order to develop relationships
  • Successful experience in developing in-depth cultivation and solicitation strategies
  • Knowledge and endorsement of the school philosophy, beliefs, goals, and objectives and can enthusiastically articulate the quality of education at Minnehaha Academy
  • Interest in all aspects of Minnehaha’s ministry and a dedication to promoting the fundraising priorities through developing excellent relationships with others throughout the organization
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated record of completing assignments and reaching goals
  • A Christian lifestyle and a personal commitment to Christian education

Pre-K Extended Day Teacher:

Our program is open Monday through Friday during the school year.  The hours for this position are 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm for the duration of the 2018-2019 school year. 1:30-3:00 pm would be assisting in the preschool program; 3:00-6:00 pm would be leading the Preschool Extended Day Program. During school breaks, there are also opportunities to work 4 to 6 hour shifts.

Qualifications include:

  • Elementary Education or Early Childhood license required (or equivalent hours of experience)
  • Passion for working and playing with children

  • Ability to plan and implement age appropriate activities

Human Resources Manager (80%):

Minnehaha Academy’s has an opening for a 12-month employee working four days per week:

The role of the Human Resources Manager supports the organization’s human resources by processing payroll and planning, implementing and evaluating human resources polices, programs and practices.  This role reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications include:

  • Knowledge and capacity in the field of human resources with minimum of two years’ experience in this field; payroll experience and knowledge of Affordable Care Act strongly preferred

Night Custodian (35 hrs/week):

Minnehaha Academy has an immediate opening at our Upper School Campus, 1345 Mendota Heights Rd., Mendota Heights, MN:

Qualifications include:

  • Dependability (Monday – Friday, 3:00PM – 10PM)
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Potential to work extra hours if needed at night or on week-end
  • Past cleaning experience preferred
  • Requires lifting/moving up to 75 pounds and hauling garbage, etc. up stairs or ramps
  • Ability to positively interact with students, parent, faculty and staff while taking pride in maintaining a clean facility
