Minnehaha Academy seeks substitute teachers for the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools:

Minnehaha Academy is a Christian school and a ministry of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church of America.  Our mission is to provide a high quality education integrating faith and learning.

The Middle School has an immediate teaching position open for Middle School Math. The position will be 75% – 100% of full-time and is benefit eligible.

Middle School Math

Qualifications include:

  • Successful teaching experience in middle school mathematics; experience with Singapore curriculum preferred
  • Demonstrated depth of knowledge in mathematics; major in mathematics preferred
  • Student-centered instructional approach
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member
  • Positive relationship building with students, parents and colleagues
  • State Licensure required
  • Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life

6th-8th Grade Teacher – Extended Day:
Our program is open Monday through Friday during the school year. The hours for this position are 2:30pm to 6:00pm. During school breaks, there are also opportunities to work 4 to 6 hour shifts.

  • Passion for working and playing with children
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Strong people skills to interact with the children, parents, and staff
  • Minimum of one-year experience working with children in a church, school, daycare, or camp setting preferred
  • Ability to plan and implement age appropriate activities
  • Support and implement the mission of the school and the Extended Day Program
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred

Director of Annual Gifts

Minnehaha Academy Office of Advancement is seeking a Director of Annual Gifts. This is a 12-month, full time position.

Director of Annual Gifts: The Director of Annual Gifts will be responsible for managing a portfolio of donors who make annual gifts to support the mission of Minnehaha Academy. The Director will be expected to minister to the needs of the donors and identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward these very important ministry partners for Minnehaha Academy. The Director will also coordinate the Annual Fund and be responsible for communicating about the Fund through the Minnehaha Magazine, social gatherings, school events and personal meetings.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with three to five years successful experience in annual gift fundraising or comparable sales experience
  • Ability to understand the needs and interests of donors in order to develop relationships
  • Successful experience in developing in depth cultivation and solicitation strategies
  • Knowledge and endorsement of the school philosophy, beliefs, goals, and objectives and can enthusiastically articulate the quality of education at Minnehaha Academy
  • Interest in all aspects of Minnehaha’s ministry and a dedication to promoting the fundraising priorities through developing excellent relationships with others throughout the organization
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated record of completing assignments and reaching goals
  • A Christian lifestyle and a personal commitment to Christian education

9th Grade Volleyball Coach

Minnehaha Academy has a seasonal coach opening for 9th volleyball beginning the 2015­-2016 school year:

9th Grade Coach ­ Volleyball (seasonal) Qualifications include:

  • Coaching experience in Volleyball
  • Adherence to Coaches Code of Ethics
  • Ability to plan and implement the details of scheduling and communication around this sport
  • Ability to effectively interact with athletes, parents and colleagues
  • Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life
