Minnehaha Academy has an opening for a Preschool teacher beginning in August 2016. This position is currently for 3 days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but may increase to full-time (Monday-Friday).

Preschool Teacher

Qualifications include:

  • Previous successful teaching experience with preschool students; experience in a nationally accredited preschool preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to engage preschool students and deliver rigorous curriculum using early childhood-specific pedagogy and best practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, colleagues, and families
  • Ability to maintain a safe, structured, and engaging environment for preschool students
  • Understanding of and ability to comply with Minnesota Preschool licensure requirements
  • Minnesota teaching license or commensurate license from another state; Early Childhood license preferred
  • Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life

Minnehaha Academy has an opening for a Teaching Assistant for the 2016-2017 school year. The position is for 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Lower School Teaching Assistant

Qualifications include:

  • Previous successful experience working with elementary students and families
  • Demonstrated ability to positively engage students, provide support in delivering rigorous curriculum, understand the developmental and academic needs of learners, and respond to the needs of individual students
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a critical support role
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, colleagues, and families
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a lead teacher in maintaining a safe, structured, and engaging environment for students
  • Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life
  • Minnesota teaching license or commensurate license from another state preferred

Minnehaha Academy Extended Day Program is currently seeking to fill the following paid positions starting in August:

1st-2nd  Grade Teacher
6th-8th   Grade Teacher

Extended  Day  Program Information:

Our program is open Monday through Friday during the school year. The hours for this position are 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm. During school breaks, there are also opportunities to work 4 to 6 hour shifts.

Qualifications include:

  • Passion for working with children
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Strong people skills to interact with the children, parents, and staff
  • Minimum of one-year experience working with children in a church, school, daycare, or camp setting preferred
  • Ability to plan and implement age appropriate activities
  • Support and implement the mission of the school and the Extended Day Program
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred

Minnehaha Academy has an immediate full-time custodian opening at our North Campus including light maintenance:

Custodian (full-time, benefits eligible)

Qualifications include:

  • Dependability (Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm)
  • Willingness to learn
  • Willingness to work some overtime as needed
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Past cleaning experience required
  • Maintenance experience helpful
  • Requires lifting/moving up to 75 pounds; and hauling garbage, etc. up ramps
  • Comfortable working heights using lifts to replace/repair light fixtures, etc. in high ceilings
  • Ability to positively interact with students as well as colleagues, while taking pride in maintaining a clean facility

Minnehaha Academy is looking for a full-time Technology Support Manager

Technology Support Manager: Full-time 

Qualifications include:

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Technical knowledge of Apple hardware OS including desktops, laptops, iPads, and PC desktops and laptops.
  • Technical knowledge of mass deployment and mobile devise management. Experience with JAMF Creative Suite a plus.
  • Ability to learn, support and troubleshoot numerous hardware peripherals, software and online services
  • Effective trainer in use of computer applications and other peripherals
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and support the mission, policies and guidelines of Minnehaha Academy
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills with strong attention to details and the ability to multi-task and assess priorities
  • Commitment to strong customer service with effective communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others while demonstrating self-direction and flexibility in the 24×7 nature of technical support
