School Nurse – Substitute

Minnehaha Academy is seeking to create a short list of licensed nurses who would be available substitute for one day or a couple days at a time. The need is only during the school year and school days and the hours would be 8:15 – 3:30.

Qualifications for the position include:

  • Registered Nurse (RN); Licensed School Nurse (LSN) preferred
  • Experience working with Lower and Middle school students preferred
  • Able to build rapport and maintain confidentiality with students, parents, and faculty
  • Previous experience working in a school preferred
  • Ability to support Minnehaha Academy’s mission

Substitute Teachers:

Minnehaha Academy seeks substitute teachers for the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools.

Qualifications for the position include:

  • College degree, educational background preferred
  • Dedication to students’ learning

  • State Certification preferred, not mandatory

Art Teacher- Part Time

Minnehaha Academy is looking for a part-time Art teacher to teach two painting classes at our Upper School campus serving Grades 9-12, starting January 22nd, 2018.

Qualifications for the position include:

  • Experience with a range of painting mediums, including watercolor, acrylic and oil paints
  • Experience with a range of painting techniques within different mediums.
  • Experience with the concepts of color theory
  • Experience with creating frames and stretching canvas 
  • Prior teaching experience is encouraged
  • Must be able to creatively inspire students and manage the logistical challenges of running a painting studio with limited space. 
  • Strong team player, with an ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Ability to relate the Christian faith to learning and life.

Business Office and Human Resource Assistant

Minnehaha Academy is seeking a full-time Business Office and Human Resources Assistant for our school.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process invoices, mail, and deposits
  • Document scanning
  • Assist with payroll and benefit processing and other HR duties
  • Assist with annual audit preparation
  • General office projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates or higher degree
  • 1 – 3 years office experience
  • Demonstrated ability to provide detailed, accurate, timely work
  • Comfortable working in Excel
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • HR and/or Payroll experience a plus
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Impeccable record of integrity and the highest ethical standards
  • Commitment to confidentiality

Bus Driver – Part Time

Minnehaha Academy has an opening for a part-time Bus Driver with primary hours between 3pm – 7pm on week days and some Saturdays. The bus driver will transport students between campuses, to other schools and potentially on field trips.

Qualifications for the job include:

  • Appropriate licensure to operate a school bus
  • Previous experience driving bus preferred
  • Strong people skills to effectively interact with children, parents and staff
  • Knowledge of the Twin Cities area a plus
