Extended Day and Summer Programs

School Nurse – Substitute

Minnehaha Academy is seeking to create a short list of licensed nurses who would be available substitute for one day or a couple days at a time. The need is only during the school year and school days and the hours would be 8:15 – 3:30.

Qualifications for the position include:

  • Registered Nurse (RN); Licensed School Nurse (LSN) preferred
  • Experience working with Lower and Middle school students preferred
  • Able to build rapport and maintain confidentiality with students, parents, and faculty
  • Previous experience working in a school preferred
  • Ability to support Minnehaha Academy’s mission

Substitute Teachers:

Minnehaha Academy seeks substitute teachers for the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools.

Qualifications for the position include:

  • College degree, educational background preferred
  • Dedication to students’ learning

Tennis Instructor

Minnehaha Academy’s Summer Programs is in search of a Tennis Instructor to prepare and teach two sessions of tennis camps in 2018. Camps will be June 11-15 (1st-4th grade) and June 18-22 (5th-8th grade), both camps are 3.5 hours long.

General qualifications for each position include

  • Passion for working and playing with children
  • Tennis experience, coaching preferred
  • Strong people skills to interact with the children, parents, and staff
  • Minimum of one year experience working with children in a church, school, or camp setting preferred
  • Ability to plan and implement age appropriate activities
  • Ability to support and implement the mission of the school; comfortable leading or participating in prayer and devotions
  • CPR/First Aid Certification a plus

Head Varsity Girl’s Soccer Coach

Admissions Counselor

Minnehaha Academy’s Admission Office has a full-time, 12-month opening for an admissions counselor. This person serves prospective parents and students, offering guidance and support throughout the admission process. Coordinates tours and student visits and oversees testing.  Assists in planning events and attends all recruitment events on and off campus.

Qualifications include:

  • Ability to build strong relationships and superb follow-through skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective team player and works well independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience working with student records software and social media preferred.
  • Past experience in admission and/or sales desired
  • Knowledge of Minnehaha Academy and the Covenant Church a plus; able to adopt and promote the mission of Minnehaha Academy

Director of Annual Gifts

Minnehaha Academy Office of Advancement is seeking a Director of Annual Gifts. This is a 12-month, full time position. The Director of Annual Gifts will be responsible for managing a portfolio of donors who make annual gifts to support the mission of Minnehaha Academy.  The Director will be expected to minister to the needs of the donors and identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward these very important ministry partners for Minnehaha Academy.  The Director will also coordinate the Annual Fund and be responsible for communicating about the Fund through the Minnehaha Magazine, social gatherings, school events and personal meetings. In addition, the Director will partner with the Director of Development and Exec Dir of Institutional Advancement to manage a portfolio of campaign prospects.

 Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with three to five years successful experience in annual gift fundraising or comparable sales experience
  • Ability to understand the needs and interests of donors in order to develop relationships
  • Successful experience in developing in depth cultivation and solicitation strategies
  • Knowledge and endorsement of the school philosophy, beliefs, goals, and objectives and can enthusiastically articulate the quality of education at Minnehaha Academy
  • Interest in all aspects of Minnehaha’s ministry and a dedication to promoting the fundraising priorities through developing excellent relationships with others throughout the organization
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated record of completing assignments and reaching goals
  • A Christian lifestyle and a personal commitment to Christian education
